Rare Vintage Le Creuset “La Mama” Cocotte – Designed by Enzo Mari – Enameled Cast Iron
140€
Beautiful and rare Le Creuset “La Mama” casserole, made of high-quality enameled cast iron and designed by the renowned Italian designer Enzo Mari. This iconic collector’s piece comes in a rare color and represents one of the most distinctive designs ever created for Le Creuset. Created in 1972, the “La Mama” collection was developed when the founders of Le Creuset, Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq, invited some of the world’s most talented designers to collaborate with the brand. Enzo Mari responded with a beautifully rounded casserole featuring a minimalist aesthetic and uniquely shaped handles — a design detail that made the piece instantly recognizable. The collection was an immediate success and remains highly sought after today. Crafted from durable enameled cast iron, this casserole offers exceptional heat retention and even cooking, making it perfect for preparing a wide variety of dishes. It is also compatible with induction cooktops. Condition: Good vintage condition. As with all my items, this is a genuine vintage piece and may show light signs of age and use. Please refer to the photos, which are an important part of the description. A wonderful collector’s item and a functional piece of culinary design history, ideal for both cooking and display.
